Description
Print it Yourself -Lenticular File Preparation Service.
Whether you’re a digital print business or commercial offset printer, we make it easy for you to achieve high quality lenticular print results. All you have to do is set up your artwork files as per our guidelines, complete the order form with payment, and include a download link. We’ll email you phone footage of the proofed design in 1-2 days, and once approved, then send you a download link in a few business days to access the print ready PDF.
Please not that your supplied files must not exceed 7,000 pixels in either the width or height.
You will RIP the interlaced file as per the screening method of your choice. Inkjet typically prints diffusion dither, whilst offset uses either FM (Stochastic) or AM (halftone screening). Note that AM screening necessitates non-standard screen angle sets and high screen rulings. Talk to your lenticular lens supplier for such information. FM screening avoids screen angle sets, but flat tints can appear grainy with 20 micron and larger size dots.
For large interlaced prints, it may be necessary for us to generate the interlaced file at an asymmetric resolution (e.g. 600 x 300 ppi as opposed to 600 x 600 ppi), whilst maintaining the full resolution across the lenticules. This is in order to avoid output file size limitations within our HumanEyes software, and likely your rip as well. If file size is still problematic, we’ll reduce the resolution across the lenticules to 1/2 or 1/4 the intended printing resolution.
We’ll include alignment bars around the perimeter of Step & Repeat interlaced files.
